Has it been tested or proven that iPhoto is a legacy app with no hooks on current media whereby deleting the app, along with associated data, will not delete our photos? After all, I would consider pictures as "associated data". I didn't even realize it was there until I received the same pop-up as you and then searched to see if it was in fact, legitimate. I personally buried the iPhoto app in a "Utilities" folder on my phone since probably 2015. However, the iPhoto app remained on our devices. Kimberly, I believe what happened to you, me and countless others, is Apple switched from using the iPhoto app to the Photos app in 2015.
